So, yeah, I’m changing the site around again. The last design (with the snowboard/guitar) was never meant to be the final design. It was just thrown together quickly when the site was originally set up. I liked it, but it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, so I decided it needed to be changed. Not to mention I’ve been bored out of my mind because the beautiful Annika is in Napa Valley drinking wine and being all cute in a convertible VW Bug this week.

This is the new layout. The photos and colors might change. For now, I’ve got the basic functionality working, so I’m taking it live. There are a few issues with images and junk that I’m working out. Everything before was designed for a white website. Now I’ve gone dark grey. All told…I’m quite pleased with the new look. I have a green website! No trees were harmed during the coding of this site.

Firefox 3 is here!

Still using Internet Explorer to browse the web? Or just ready to get the latest and greatest from Mozilla? Well Firefox 3 has released today. I’ve been using a beta version for awhile now and I’m quite happy with the improvements…especially the reduction in memory usage. If you haven’t tried Firefox before, download it today. 3 months smoke free

Just a quick update for those following along at home…as of June 15th, I am and continue to be smoke free!

Zedge

I’ve always made my own ring tones because the majority of sites that offer ring tones are a mess. Some require special software to be installed on your PC. Some are so unorganized you can’t find anything. I had one site where no matter what I searched for, the result was always “no matches”.

Today I discovered Zedge.

The interface is wonderful. Just click the big Play button on each ringtone to hear it…like an audio only version of youtube.com. And they have other things besides just ring tones. If you register and tell them your phone model, they will display wallpapers that fit your screen or offer themes that give your phone a whole new look. If you are in the mood to pimp out your cell, check out Zedge….I wasted hours there this morning.

Death Cab for Cutie

Last Wednesday night I drove up to Red Rocks Amphitheatre to see Death Cab for Cutie with Annika. Wow! I had never been to Red Rocks before and it’s amazing. I took a few photos and yes the place looks cool….but once the sun sets and the rocks are all lit up…it just feels unreal. But that’s the really cool part…it’s totally real…nature’s design!

I had no idea who the opening band was. After listening to them for awhile I decided I liked them and asked who they were. They are called Rogue Wave and to my surprise I actually have a couple of their albums. It was recommended to me by someone and I just haven’t had time to really listen to it.

After I discovering the band I had already discovered, it was time for Death Cab for Cutie. They played a lot from their new album, which I’m sad to say I had only listened to a couple of times. But they did do some older stuff like “I Will Follow You Into The Dark” and “Title and Registration”.

My first visit to Red Rocks and I’m dying to go back. I’m not sure why it took me 4 years of being in Colorado to get there. But I think I’m going to make it a habit….

2 months smoke free

Well I’ve pasted an important date in the no smoking timeline.

I have tried to quite before and failed at the 1 month mark. This weekend, though, I hit the 2 month mark. I honestly didn’t even realize it until today. I don’t really think about smoking very often. Maybe once a week. Last night it hit me after dinner. I felt like I wanted to smoke. Fortunately I’ve learned that those little cravings disappear in a few minutes.

Anyway, just wanted to toot my own horn. It’s much more fun not smoking. Now I can judge all the people who do smoke. =)
